Containment and Failures of ContainmentGroup-Analytic Studies, Monash University, Melbourne, sabar{at}iprimus.com.au Containment can become a way of life for certain people. However, to be able to use it comfortably and creatively in our working life is an art which is not easy to develop. In this article, the author seeks to analyze the many facets, concepts and uses of containment not only in group psychotherapy but also in relationships, and how our increased awareness and understanding of containment can help and enhance our professional practice.
