Working Relationally with the Adolescent in GroupDerner Institute, Adelphi University, Garden City, New York. 49 Cedar Drive, Great Neck, New York 11021, USA. Psychoanalytic group therapy may be effective with poorly communicating, resistant, or antisocial adolescents. I describe ways of thinking about and modes of working with this population, utilizing and extending Bions model of the container-contained to include a contemporary, relational perspective.
