The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes: The Economy of the GroupUniversity of Bologna The leader of the group, in the Foulkesian view, should be someone who is able to develop the group's high potential for means of exchange, by making independence out of dependence and richness out of the differences of the group and through the group. In this respect, the Biblical `miracle of the loaves and fishes' (Christ feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fishes) can be seen as an expressive metaphor.
