Silence and the Use of Objects Brought to the Session as a Resistance in a Group with AdolescentsItalian Health Service, ACANTO (Association for the Study of Group Dynamics) Containment and waiting are the instruments needed by the conductor of a teenager group. It is in fact necessary to make room for silences, strange objects and non-verbal language: these should not always be interpreted as provocations, but rather as transitional objects.
