Dreams and the Primordial LevelRome University `Tor Vergata' and a practising group analyst. Dreams represent a rich harvest of information in analytical therapy. One can note differences between individual psycho-analysis and group analysis: in the group a peculiar characteristic is the frequency of dreams containing archetypal elements. The author hypothesizes that this is due to the isomorphic reflection of the biological cerebral system, with its two hemispheres, on the psyche of the group. This phenomenon is highlighted where regression is intense. In this model the frequency of archetypal dreams is the expression of the `right hemisphere' of the group.
