Multiple Family Group Therapy: A Group-Analytic PerspectivePark Royal Child and Family Unit, Central Middlesex Hospital, London This paper describes Multiple Family Group Therapy in a Child and Family Psychiatric Unit. The approach involves treatment of up to six families in a large-group setting with additional separate group sessions for parents and children. The approach lends itself particularly to socially isolated families with long-standing dysfunction.
